Cape Tribulation For The Charlie Hall Chase
No joy yesterday as Kalk Bay ran a stinker and I'm not going to say anything about the jockey as it'll be a long rant and who needs that on a Saturday morning! It's busy busy busy here this morning so I won't be keeping you long and I'm off racing to watch the Charlie Hall and I can't wait.
Talking of which that's the race that I'm betting big in today and I'm looking forward to moving across the rails spreading a few quid across some of the bookies! The horse I'm willing to take a chance on is the over-priced Cape Tribulation. If I'm honest I would have preferred a bit more rain to give us heavy going but I still think he's in with a chance.
Long Run has eased in the market and I think people are realising that he doesn't go well off a break and he's prone to making jumping errors. If he jumps well he could be in with a chance but we won't know until they're racing. I'd be surprised if he wasn't in the frame but I think there are a few more worthy of a punt of course my main one being Cape Tribulation. If he can race as he did in the Argento and the Meyrick he could be winning this as well. Of the rest we see some money coming in for Harry Topper and the booking of Jason Maguire looks a positive and there is value to be had in the 8/1. Benefficient is the next obvious one and the money will be for McCoy to get closer to his incredible 4000 mark. But with all that in mind, I think today Cape Tribulation is the one to be with and I'm going in for the win.
Selection: Cape Tribulation in the 3.35 Wetherby at 13/2 with BetVictor for a win only bet.
I'll be back on Monday with more thoughts and free tips. Until then enjoy your weekends and good luck with your punting
